Our Team, is a dedicated set of young under 30 individuals in International Relations, Strategy and Security, Legal Studies and Public Policy from India, currently residing at different parts of the world. Our team is a dedicated and cohesive community of individuals, currently working or studying at different roles in different organizations, institutions and firms across the globe and are committed to public duty and the idea of civilian-led strategic culture.
IFPD is an eco-system that believes in building communities and driving conversations. Ms. Shrijita Das Gaddam is the Director in Operations at the Indian Forum for Public Diplomacy (IFPD). She is a graduate in Law from Narsee Monjee School of Law, Navi Mumbai, India. She has been affiliated with the International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences (AIESEC), Navi Mumbai. She was a team leader at AIESEC and has received the best member award for her active contributions during her term. She is a member of Singapore International Arbitration Society. She interned under the Supreme Court and High Court Lawyers respectively. She has worked at various levels in multiple law firms and Not-for Profits including the Tempus Law Associates, Omnicom Media Group, Global Peace Foundation, R&A Associates, Thomas and George Associates among others. Her research interests include International Arbitration, Trade law, IPR and Public Diplomacy. Shrijita is a classical dancer (Kuchipudi) and has been performing the art for the past 16 years. She was the runner-up at the National Dance Competition organized by the Telangana Association which set a Guinness World Record.

Mr. Jay Makhijani is the head of Strategic Partnerships at the Indian Forum for Public Diplomacy (IFPD) He is a recent undergraduate focused on finance. He has worked in various capacities at intersection of Public Policy and International affairs. He is Building a foundation for specialization for (Indo-pacific) region. He is Skilled at Fundraising, Systems Thinking/Design Thinking, Complex Problem Solving, Understanding of the Circular Economy, Stakeholder Management, Policy implementation, policy management, policy writing, & policy negotiation, Currently, Jay is part of YPFP, Tokyo as Programs Officer capacity and BIED society as a fellow for the Indo-Pacific region, he has also been fellow at the Global Policy, Diplomacy, and Sustainability (GPODS) Fellowship Program.

Ms. Tanya Mittal is the Head of Policy and Planning at the Indian Forum for Public Diplomacy (IFPD). Graduating in 2022 from Lady Shri Ram College, Tanya holds a BA degree in History along with a PG Diploma in Conflict Analyses Studies. She has received her deferred masters admit from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University for Fall 2024. She is currently working with FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry), an apex business chamber in India as a Research Associate in the International Affairs Division. Tanya has had diverse work stints with parliamentary offices and prominent think tanks including Observer Research Foundation, United Service Institution of India, Centre for Land and Warfare Studies, Centre for Civil Society, Safe Water Network and Politics for Impact. She has interned with the Office of Dr Shashi Tharoor in Delhi. She has multiple publications centred around her research interests in maritime security, climate change and legal empowerment of women. She is passionate about creating measurable change in society; volunteering with social impact projects like Make a Difference, MASH project foundation, Swechha, Pink Legal and Girl Up. Tanya has excellent communication skills and has had experiences in hosting events and podcasting.
Ms. Escandita Tewari

Ms. Escandita Tewari is a policy and data analyst and heads data-driven projects at the Indian Forum for Public Diplomacy (IFPD). She is currently an undergraduate student in Business, Law and Social Science at National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University and a student of Data Science and Programming at IIT Madras. Her academic journey is fuelled by an unwavering passion for policy frameworks and data-driven research, with a particular focus on international policy. In addition to her academic pursuits, Escandita possesses a remarkable creative flair and has actively led design at various organisations. She is a published poet, an avid photographer and a guitarist, trying to express her inner artist in multiple ways. An ardent QUEEN fan, she has a unique fascination with stereoscopy, demonstrating her keen eye for appreciating the world from different perspectives.

Mr. Aditya Sharma is the head of Project Development at the Indian Forum for Public Diplomacy (IFPD) and is an intelligence and security enthusiast and is a graduate in Political Science from the University of Delhi. He is a Research Associate at the IVM Podcasts and the General Secretary at the Gandhi Study Circle. He has worked with various think-tanks and Non-Profits and has studied the role of Women in Kashmir militancy during his tenure at the Centre for Airpower Studies (CAPS) as an intern. He is a published novelist and an essayist and combines experience and interest in general Public Policy issues.

Her research interests include International Law, Corporate Law, Environment Law and Criminal Law. She combines experience in content writing and management, graphic designing and video editing. She is also interested in social activities and enrolled as a volunteer in several social and cultural events conducted across various universities in India. She is an enthusiast in sports, drawing and music.
